Chantelle Lamour: Personal Trainer
Focus goals:
Postnatal fitness and wellbeing | Women returning to fitness | Personal training
Fitness has been a central part of Chantelle’s life since her teenage years, when a personal interest in training developed into a lifelong passion for health and wellbeing. She began teaching Pilates while at university and has since built extensive experience as both a physiotherapist, practising for fifteen years, and a personal trainer for more than ten years.
Chantelle’s specialist interest in postnatal wellness stems from her early awareness of the challenges many women face after childbirth, inspired by witnessing her own mother’s struggles with her postnatal body image. This experience shaped her commitment to supporting women through both the physical and emotional aspects of recovery after pregnancy.
At The Fitness Garage, Chantelle works primarily with women who have given birth within the past five years and are keen to regain their fitness in a structured and supportive environment. She provides expert guidance for issues such as pelvic floor dysfunction and diastasis recti (the separation of the left and right ‘six-pack’ abdominal muscles during pregnancy), helping clients rebuild core strength, regain confidence and return to exercise safely.
As a qualified macronutrient coach, Chantelle also offers nutritional support, enabling clients to lose weight sustainably while maintaining a healthy, enjoyable relationship with food and everyday life. Her holistic approach recognises that physical recovery, mental wellbeing and self-confidence are closely connected.
