Personal Trainer
Focus goals:
pregnancy fitness | post-natal fitness | pregnancy PT training | exercise referral specialismÂ
Charlotte’s path to becoming a personal trainer began in her mid-twenties; she realised that having an unhealthy relationship with food had given her a distorted view of fitness and what being fit meant. She decided that, ultimately, some of the extreme ‘bikini body’ programmes she had followed were unsustainable – one body size does not fit all.
She completed her Level 2 and Level 3 Fitness Instructor courses and, whilst pregnant, became interested in how pregnancy impacts fitness and training. She studied for a Level 3 Pre and Post Natal Fitness Instructor Course which enabled her to support women before and after childbirth. In fact, some of her clients came to her several years after giving birth, finding that they still couldn’t reconnect with their bodies.
Charlotte has successfully completed a Level 3 Exercise Referral course which means she has a greater understanding of certain conditions and how exercise and lifestyle changes can help control them. The conditions she has studied include arthritis, hypertension, diabetes, obesity, asthma and anxiety.
Having worked as cabin crew for British Airways in the past, Charlotte is well aware of how to manage fatigue and the importance of incorporating exercise into a busy schedule so that it becomes an integral part of your routine.
